Multiple cost centres in 1 journal entry

Looking to use cost centres in the same journal entry when re-allocating costs, is this possible and how as the journal page only allows for 1 cost centre. (BTW, I already use jobs for other purposes)

Thanks

    Hi Etannous,

Sorry about the earlier mix-up! Right now, you can only add one cost centre per transaction, there’s no way to pop on multiple.

If you reckon that should change, chuck it on the Ideas Exchange so others can vote and help get it on the radar for future updates.

    Thanks Sai,

I fail to see how the allocation to many cost centres in the 1 journal is possible, there is only 1 selection allowed for the entire journal.

    Hi Etannous,

I can see why you'd want to use more than one cost centre in the same journal. It would make reallocations much simpler. Right now, the journal page only lets you select one cost centre per line. If you need to split the amounts, you can add extra lines to the same journal, with each line allocated to a different cost centre. This way you can still record it all in one journal without needing to create separate ones.

Here's a link with more info: Cost Centres.

    Regards,

    Sai
