Thank you for your feedback in regards to this idea and voting for this idea.
My understanding is that you still can lodge paper documents such as payment summaries or amended payment summaries if required to the ATO. I think they perfer that you do it electronically as it does involve less man power to process. For more information into reporting using paper forms please see the ATO website: Annual reporting
