Reconcile Accounts: Last reconciliation date update when no transactions to reconcile

Please reprogram so that you can update the Last Reconciled Date without any transactions ticked in the window.

You can delete an old transaction from months back, replace it with a new one of the same value, re-reconcile so that the reconciled date of that transaction went back in to its correct place and appeared correctly on a report of that old reconciliation. When you complete this, the Last reconciled date on screen is the old one from way back.

In past versions, you could then enter the bank statement date to agree with the last real one you did (e.g. last month), and without ticking any new transactions, click RECONCILE twice, to update the Last reconciled Date. It does not now work in Account Right. A tiny program adjustment can fix this.

Thanks for your great suggestion Peter. Anyone else who would like the last reconciled date to be updated when a reconciliation is completed with the no transactions ticked, and the same balance as the previous reconciliation, please cast your vote here. Make sure you're signed in and click on the purple vote button at the top left-hand side of the screen. If you post a comment, don’t forget to vote as well!

    Hi Everyone

AccountRight 2017 will update the Last Reconciled Date for reconciliation if no transactions are ticked in that reconciliation.
