Where has Cash Flow Analysis gone. I don't know of any small business operater that doesn't rely on cash flow analysis 30/60/90 days, It's been in every version of MYOB that I am aware of, why omit it now? Please bring it back, it is a major oversight!!! I know you now have business insights but if you are a small business operator and not an accountant then this doesn't give the basic information we need!!!
Reports: Cash Flow Analysis

I work as an accountant and over a number of years have recommended the Cash Flow Analysis report to most of my clients. I find it extremely handy for them to be able to analyse the timing of payments in and out, rather than by simply working on 'how much is in the bank'.
So please, please, please, bring back the Cash Flow Analysis Report!!!!

Hi,
The older versions had a Cash Flow button on the bottom right hand of the screen.
I have called support and to no avail can it be done, only the Cash Flow that has happened in past but nothing for projection.
would love to see this back

Would it be possible to add a new MYOB report to AccountRight Live Plus that creates a projection of future cash flow requirements. QuickBooks has a great feature called Cash Flow Planner. Something similar would be great.
It should both look ahead at already entered sales and purchases, but also look back at previous history of things such as recurring transactions, regular or periodic income and expenses, taxes, payroll, credit card bills, and then predict cash flow requirements.

Yeah. Great idea. Or maybe, even better idea, MYOB could just bring back the report they used to have, that did exactly this. You could vote for that over here too: https://community.myob.com/t5/AccountRight-Idea-Exchange/Report-Cash-Flow-Analysis/idc-p/647057#M21093 :)
I agree, I work with a number of clients who generally have a bookkeper/admin doing a plethora of tasks and inputting into multiple models is not realistic. As we are adding all of this information into MYOB anyway, a simpel cash flow forecast would be a very handy and highly valued addition.

Anybody remeber the cashflow forecasting facility in First Accounts?
I have avoided upgrading (until XP died), because that facility was so useful.
Any way we can have that back as an option. Far as i can see, no add on product does the same job.

Hi Loganbear,
We at Accounting Addons specialise in all kinds of addons for MYOB. It may be possible we created something similar along the way.
I recommend, if you have time, to ring my boss Jeff on 1300 ADDONS (1300 233 667) and have chat and see if we can help.

The DataWise report writer includes a forecasting module which draws actuals from your MYOB file (currently v19.x or some prior versions only), and budgets from MYOB or Excel, and produces integrated profit, balance sheet and cash flow reports, plus ratio analyses. Our advanced version enables job budgets by month. The standard program is available from our website www.datawise.co.nz on a 14-day trial.

We have used the cashflow funtion monthly for the last 15 years, it is very disappointing that this feature is no longer available. This is a financial software package after all...
Could you please look at restoring this function as i dont feel we should have to pay for an add on solution for this.
Thankyou!!

I would like to have a report that forecasts all cash movements (not a budget) based on orders and bills that have been entered into MYOB. It should include all of the following transactions:
- Sales Orders
- Open Sales Invoices
- Purchase Orders
- Open Purchase Bills
Ideally it would show the expected cash inflows and outflows on a week to week basis (e.g. week ending 01/12 would include all of the payments or receipts due in that week)
Expected payment due date can be based on either promised date or payment terms

I also require the Cash Flow Analysis report as it details all the bills due in the next month from our various bank accounts, which is then exported to Excel and I get a total of all the bills due. We are also a small business operator - I have been using this feature for the last 10 years. I wont be using the latest version until this report is re-introduced. Please help asap - thanks.

I cant understand why this report would be omitted. Please help asap - thanks.

I was really disappointed not to have the ability to look ahead into the cash flow. It is so easy compared to doing your own analysis, which is fine but more time consuming. The information is all in MYOB please bring back the Look AHead 30 days function.

This is a really useful report and as an accountant, I have recommended the use of this to clients to assist in management of cashflow - seeing the actual dollars that make up the 'required bank balance' is better than any graphical representation - bring this report back to AR 2013 please!

Jocelyn,
I am impressed that as an accountant you assist your clients with cashflow.
My hope with Cloud Accounting is that many more Tax Agents will become regular Business Advisers.
MYOB has a Cash Flow Statement which traditionally reports on operating, investing and financing activities.
The most common question from business owners may be "Where is the Cash".
The Cash Flow Statement will show whether the proprietor is drawings more money than the profit.
I have not used the CashFlow Analysis Report with clients but can appreciate the importance of knowing when outflows might occur - internet banking has improved this information over the years.
I would suggest that a snapshot of future cash outflows should be an essential part of a dashboard.
Why is it that Tax Agents do not provide a Cash Flow Statement in a Special Purpose Financial Report? Is it the cost? Is it that Financial Statyements prepared some 10 months after 30 June (especially if no tax planning has ocurred) could be deemed to be compliance obligation for the ATO.
Lets hope that many more business owners have Tax Advisers who take an interest in the business continually during a FY.

SAVE OUR SMALL BUSINESSES - CASH FLOW REPORTS ARE VITAL
Please bring back this report! For the past 6 months I have attempted to manually receate the same report but find I am wasting valuable time every week. It is very frustrating as a small business owner to have a vital business tool taken away. Please look after the small business owners out there and reintroduce this report. Thank you
