I have also long looked for this idea for entering within service invoices. I often need to list within an invoice for example, Qty Item Description Amount within the body of the invoice and would like to put those words or similar so they look like a header within the text. also i might need to put item description, a gap then $amount in a list then need to underline the last amount to indicate a total. This is often set out like this for insurance invoice/reports as one. Then the total of the list is entered as the main figure in the forms $ column. To have incorporated in the keyboard letters, In early electric typewriters we would press say Ctrl shift then a letter and it would start the underline command and repeat Ctrl shift then letter to stop the underline. That went 'out the window' with later computers. There used to be Ctrl backspace etc. all useful commands when typing. Maybe this will work for bringing such formatting into the myob for editing the layout, bold, italic, etc within the description area. Looking forward to seeing this kind of formatting being introduced to invoice text entering would be great.
