Expense recording

The option to add more than one line item to a bill.
currently you can only record an expense to one category. So when you have multiple lines on an invoice with different GST implications, you need to record each line item as a new transaction. For example, when entering any expense for a car like insurance and rego.  I too am regretting my decision to go with Solo

Good news, you can now add multiple lines to an expense without needing to use the split function! 🎉

We’ve made it easier to record those tricky invoices (like insurance and rego) all in one go.

Thanks for hanging in there while we worked on this one đź’Ş

  • Hey Rctmtruswell

Thanks for sharing this, we know it can be frustrating when something feels harder than it should be.

The good news is, you can add multiple line items to a single expense, no need to create a new one each time. Just change the Expense type to Split. That’ll unlock the Add line item option, so you can separate out each part of the bill with its own category and GST treatment, all within the same entry.

That said, we hear you, it’s not the most obvious flow, and I’ll pass this feedback on to the team. If you’re not seeing the Split option or run into any issues, let us know and we’ll help out.

    Thanks,
