MYOB Essentials customer statements lack info and really dont look great.
They need activity not just current outstanding invoices. Customers would like to see invoices billed and payments made.
It would also be great if we could select a date range when emailing or printing statements.
Also need to be able to add logo.

I agree LouiseMech. They don't have any styling. There is nowhere to put a logo.

Agree, I would like to see more functionality regarding customer statements.
I am the Treasurer for a small club. We run multiple events per annum, for which members are invoiced separately. When generating customer statements, all invoices for that customer are listed, however the 'Description' field for each invoice simply says "Sales Invoice". This is not meaningful for our members as it doesn't tell them what each charge is for (ie Membership, Function 1, Function 2, etc).
I do not need the additional functionality of AccountRight, nor can my club afford the additional fee. So while I understand Essentials is designed to be a basic package (which is all I need), I am a little surprised and disappointed to find it does not provide the functionality to generate meaningful statements for repeat customers.

I am unable to print customer statements for a selected month. If I don't catch it on the last day of the month it captures all invoices issued after the end of the month. Customer service tells me that I am unable to select a month as the feature is not available. It makes it difficult if the last day of the month falls on a weekend.

Could there be an option to select a date range to apply to print/email statements? I only send out statements if invoices are unpaid after 30 days, but I can't tell which customers this applies to on the existing statement screen.
Thanks
Jill

I am only new to MYOB ( have been using quickbooks for 17 years ) , I was very surprised to find that you could not set a date for your statements.
Cannot always get to print statements on the last day of the month so it would be great to be able to print them on any day but with the ability to show end of month totals only.
Also I have bank feeds set up but my statements don't show any of the payments, is this just the way I have it set up? Any suggestions
To have customised dates on a statement should not be considered a wish list item - THIS MUST BE FIXED IMMEDIATELY - this post was added in September 2017 - so for 1.5 years developers at MYOB have not done anything about this even though there are numerous complaints on the community forum about this! All those posting on the community forum don't know that MYOB doesn't look at or care about what goes on there. Only this forum Ideas exchange helps get things changed.
So the 102 votes about this on the community forum mean nothing to the developers at MYOB????
I would liek to be able to print historical statements for my overdues accounts

I think it would be great if MYOB essentials had a date range function in the statements so that you can send customers statements from a particular month only.

Hi justin2011
Thank you for your idea in regards to MYOB Essentials and statements.
Currently statements in Essentials are invoice based designed to show you the invoices and the payments relating to that particular invoice based on today's date. I would encourage other users that would like the ability to select a date for Statements and to have a statement based on the activity of the customer's card to vote and comment if required for this idea. I find it very frustrating to try to remember to create invoices on a specific date Ii.e. end of month) rather than selecting a date range and to have the activity show, rather than just the invoices.

GIven cleints do some invoices on the days after the end of the month - but dated as end of month, as they pertain to that month, they need the ability to be able to select a statement date. Please seriously look at this as it something to bring in, as it will make a difference as to future recommendations I make to those clients that want invoicing.

Being able to customise the dates of statements and have a due date in them would be great.
