Moving AO Classic and AO to a new Server

Hello, all.

Can someone point out some instructions if I want to reinstall both AO Classic and AO to a new server? Obviously install the newest versions of both to the new server, then the data will need to be backed up and then restored, but is there a detailed procedure?

Also, is there a default 'sa' SQL user password? We can't back up this AO database as nobody knows what it is.

Re: Moving AO Classic and AO to a new Server

Hi @ITWorx_NZ

Below is the link for detailed instructions for migrating/reinstalling MYOB AO to a new server.

KB0016020 - Migrating MYOB AO & AO Classic to a new computer or server

http://help.myob.com/wiki/x/5wh3AQ

Also, the default password for the "sa" user is what is set by your practice.

Regards,

Syed

Re: Moving AO Classic and AO to a new Server

Thank you. Am talking to the MYOB Rep about this now, might have to involve your consultants to help with the migration as it looks pretty complicated and I don't want to get it wrong.
