MYOB Support has confirmed that the issue was related to 2018.3 and they have implemented a fix. I'll also pass on the message that they recommend updating to the latest version.

Thanks for updating this. I tried to thank you on Monday but MY.MYOB was failing my login. Maybe it's me breaking everything i touch.

 

We have not yet upgraded the company file. We tried to post invoices today (after seeing post from @Ian4101) and still did not succeed. 

 

Looks like i'll need to persuade that an upgrade is required.

@OMS if you are still getting the 500 error message, it might be worth sending the details to MYOB's contact for API Support. If you have a request Id, which is normally returned within the exception, I believe they can see a bit more than we can (from this side). They've been pretty good on the occasion that I have communicated with them.
