MYOB Teams - Approving Manager

How do you set up for leave to be approved for someone who is an "approving manager"?

I have 4 employees.

Employee 1 is the approving manager for employees 2 & 3. 

Employee 4 is purely an approver of leave and is to approve the leave of employee 1.

I have added employee 1 and employee 4 as approving managers in MYOB Team admin portal however I am unable to select employee 1 as the employee that is under employee 4 for the purposes of having their leave approved. 

I have been able to add Employees 2 & 3 under Employee 1.

Thank you for your post and welcome to the Community Forum ! If you've added all employees to 1 location with employee 1 & 4 being the approving managers, you won't be able to set employee 4 as the approving manager (for leave) for employee 1 as their set as an approving manager in this location. 

As a work around you would need to create a new location, and set employee 1 as the employee and employee 4 as the leave approving manager (approving manager).

Can you have two approving managers for the same location in case one is away etc

Hi @Joliman, 

You can add multiple approving managers to a location, you will need to do this within the current location:

1. Click a location.
2. From the Select an approving manager list, choose an employee.
3. Click Add and invite. The employee is listed as an approving manager and will be sent an invitation to download the MYOB Team mobile app.
