How to use a bond payment to pay a rental invoice

Hello

I have $500 sitting in a tenant Bonds Collected (Liability) account. I would like to allocate this against a rental invoice. Will this be possible if I process a General Journal? Or is there a better option?

Thanks.

Re: How to use a bond payment to pay a rental invoice

Hi @KEdwards

Thanks for reaching out and welcome to the Community Forum.

I understand we are trying to move the $500 from a liability account into a rental invoice. Generally, in these cases we could create a general journal to get the outcome desired. However, I would recommend speaking to a financial advisor, as this is considered financial advice.

In the meantime, let us know if you require any further assistance.

Cheers,
