ContributionsMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsRe: Preparing Electronic Payments issues HiFez The first part is a warning message about the ABA file's date being in the future, which the software can do, but just need to be mindful that your bank may require the ABA file date needs to be the same as the file upload date. The 2nd part does indicate that one or more of the selected contact person have incomplete payment details, it's possible that the details were edited or new contact added since the last ABA file generation. From the error message I gather that you are using the new MYOB Business, I'd suggest selecting 1 contact or deselecting 1 contact at a time, then hit the 'Download bank file' button, if you get the error again then it means the selected contact(s) need the payment details checked, if it's giving the confirmation warning window then it means the selected contacts are fine. Keep doing so until you can locate all the contacts causing the error. Re: Splitting a payroll transaction Hijessica_W You are correct that in the new MYOB Business, tosplit a pay between accounts the payment method needs to be set to electronic. Once it's set up and payroll transaction is recorded, you'll need to process the electronic payments, please choose the option 'Download bank file'. This will record the electronic payment without actually paying it, you don't need to actually upload the bank file, simply pay the employee as you normally do. If you have any further questions, please feel free to let us know. Re: Confirmation that HECS is being taken out HiChrisCl By selecting the +STSL tax tables in the employee card, it will automatically calculating the PAYG amount accordingly. The HECS amount is part of the PAYG withholding, thus it doesn't appear a deduction pay item on payslips. Having the correct tax table selected in the employee card itself will ensure that HECS is deducted when applicable, if you'd like to seek further options to demonstrate HECS is deducted to your employee, I'd suggest checking out this forum thread: Showing HECS/HELP payments on payslip, it's an old thread and the software involved was AccountRight, but the same advice applies for the new MYOB Business. I hope this helps. If you have any further questions please feel free to let us know. Re: adjusting column widths when writing an invoice HiNoremac01 Thank you for your feedback. I'm afraid that currently there's no option to adjust the column width when creating invoices. Upon selecting an item in invoice, the cursordoesn't automatically move to a different field, you can use the Tab key to achieve that. If you'd like to see these options added, please post your idea on the MYOB Business Idea Exchange board, so other people wanting the same feature can add their votes and comments. Re: MYOB/FERGUS Bills Hichris_kittow In MYOB Business, you are not yet able to set default supplier payment terms, the due date information is rather entered when creating the bill. Since the purchase transaction are prepared by a third party software, you'll need to contact them to work out how to prepare the import to your requirement. If you have any other questions please feel free to let us know. Re: Change customer details not updating in new invoice email HiTimbenol Thank you for the details. I've just tested in MYOB Business, once the customer contact's name field is changed, refreshing the invoice screen will reflect the new name in the email message field. And just to clarify that the two fields highlighted in your screenshot are different fields, changing the email address of the contact doesn't affect the name used in the message, the message body uses the Company name/First & Last name field of the contact. Please feel free to let us know how you go or if you have any further questions. Re: Bills created Hicharliandlenni Have you already created Spend Money/bill transactions from the InTray documents? If so, the bank transactions should be matched to these already created transactions, instead of being allocated to accounts. Allocating bank transactions to accounts will create new Spend Money/Receive Money transactions, which effectively will be a double up to transactions created from InTray documents. In this case I'd suggest undo the bank feeds allocations, and match them to the Spend Money transactions/open bills already created in MYOB Business. If the InTray documents haven't been used yet, you can consider linking them to the Spend Money transactions created from the bank transactions instead - Working with InTray documents. Re: invoice balance inquiry Hiwaterwide Thank you for your post, I hope you find this Community Forum an useful resource. With bank feeds set up, you can go to Banking > Bank Transaction to match the bank transaction to open invoices which will close off the invoices. You can also record invoice payments first via Sales > create invoice payment, then match the recorded payment to the bank transaction. I'd suggest going through this Help page for more details with Matching bank transactions. If you also have online invoice payment set up, when your customers make the payment it can automatically record the payment within MYOB Businesss, and close off the associated invoice. This payment can then be matched to bank transactions. Please find more details on this Help page - Online invoice payments. If you have any questions please feel free to post again at any time. Re: Spend Money Manual entry HiRenaeGTS In the new MYOB Business, when entering a Spend Money transaction, it will always start by showing 2 lines. As soon as you enter data into the 2nd line (or bottom line), a new line will be added automatically. Please feel free to let us know how you go, or if you have any further questions. Re: Recording company income tax liability Hijonesty In the newMYOB Business you can still enter transactions in the previous financial year if needed, provided that the dates are not locked. Typically a financial year should only be rolled over when everything's finalised, which is done via these End of period tasks. If everything balanced out when you rolled over the financial year, please do double check if the tax liability is already recorded somewhere, maybe in a different transaction type. I'd suggest verifying it with your accountant before entering transactions in the previous financial year.
