In the end I've just made the item inactive (with a different code) and re-entered a new item with the original code. I was unable to enter a supplier invoice until this was done so had no more time to wait around for MYOB to fix the issue. Thanks Karen Negative item quantity Good afternoon I found a post with the same problem, but it is no longer able to be commented on. I think this might be one that requires a script from MYOB side, hopefully the right person will see this. I can't find an actual email address or messaging option on the help page. MYOB has crashed on me several times today, each time while attempting to enter the same bill. When I further investigated the items on the order, I saw that one had an odd negative amount (see screenshot). I attempted to adjust the quantity but was unable to change it to 0. I cleared the MYOB cache and restarted but no change. Please advise the best way to fix this issue. I have deactivated items that I was unable to delete because they had been used in transactions or had a zero amount. Those error have their own specific error message that pops up. The one referenced in my original query is different and I want to know how to work around it. The item was created in error and therefore has never been used, transacted and stock as well as value have never been anything other than zero. There is no history whatsoever. Generally when these conditions are met, I am able to simply delete the item rather than deactivate it. This is a different error and I don't understand what is causing it. An item was created incorrectly, then marked inactive. When I attempt to delete it (which I do with inactive items from time to time) I get the error message above. Does anyone know a workaround for this? This item would not have been used in any journal entries. I have come across that error and the wording is different. Secondly, MYOB please please please make the specific error messages searchable on the help pages. When I type in YOUR error message word for word and get NO search results, it is beyond frustrating. If you created the error message, tell us how to fix the error!!!! Suggested Function - Jobs search We track and cost our jobs using the Jobs Number function. Each customer order has its own job number. However, when creating a new invoice and then creating a new job number within the Sales window, when you select New and create the job it does not currently input automatically into the Job Column field that you just used to create it. You have to remember to go back in and re-type the newly created number. It's one of those easy to forget steps. Is it possible to have a newly created job number populate that field automatically? Thanks Karen Re: Annual Leave and Loading double dipping entitlements Yes, if you follow Tracey's answers above it solved it for me. I had to allocate the entitlements differently to fix the problem going forward, and then was able to go back in and adjust the hours accordingly. As to why it happened, I have no idea, but it seems to all be working fine now. 🤷♀️
