receiving payments in advance
hi all we receive payments in advance for a particular customer all the time well before we have an invoice to allocate it to is there a way i can enter these payments into our MYOB file to show that the customer is in credit without creating a credit note as such i just want to show that they have paid and are in credit i dont want to create credit notes all the time for them to show they are in credit? i am currently keeping a Spreadsheet of the paymetns so i can allocate them when i have an invoice to do so with844Views0likes3CommentsRe: "MYOB Tax Dashboard is requesting permission to access your MYOB Account" Auskey.read
Hi Isaiah_C than kyou for your response - can you explain why the message is coming up in the 10+ years of MYOB use its never happened before - as per the below responses this is a new thing that has popped up for many of us out of the blue - never popped up before and we dont understand why its popping up now - MYOB has offered no explanation to this and your just telling us to just accept it and allow 3rd part access to this platform why wasnt a response put out from MYOB before this happened to warn us so we knew it was ok - surely you can see our concerns with a random approval request popping up with so much cyber theft going around we are only trying to be vigilant with protecting our data and files simply saying " its fine just accept it MYOB will protect you" is not a response at all in my opinion why is auskey even trying to get access - your forums clearly state in 2020 that auskey was retired and superseded how come its coming back?157Views2likes0CommentsRe: "MYOB Tax Dashboard is requesting permission to access your MYOB Account" Auskey.read

HI AmandaCL thankyou for responding its very difficult to get to speak to anyone from MYOB anymore you used to be able to just call in - i am however having trouble understanding your answer we don't use explorer have not for years what 3rd party app are you referring to we have not changed anything what happened from Friday to Monday just gone for it to change what patch are you talking about? and why wasn't this sent out to MYOB users if there was an issue so we could prevent this from happening. its very inconvenient that this has happened just before everyone is due to lodge PAYG and monthly BAS im sure you can understand with all the fraud going around these days we are very hesitant to allow anything access to our MYOB accounts can you please elaborate on how to move forward as this seems to be a MYOB issue not a user issue481Views2likes2Comments"MYOB Tax Dashboard is requesting permission to access your MYOB Account" Auskey.read

THANK YOU for your response i have read through the customer deposits section but it still says you have to enter a sales to allocate the "paid today" to is i simply want to allocate a payment to a customer with no invoice no order no nothing and just put them in credit until i create an invoice or order eg bob jones pays $100 to us but there is no invoice no order nothing at all in MYOB to put this payment to as he is paying in $100 installments in advance until he gets to $1000 in credit then he will place an order and i can invoice him how do i process these paymetns through MYOB so he can see that he is in credit with us this is what i want to do without creating credit notes as if i do that then it looks like we owe him the money692Views0likes0Comments
