Payroll: Process Payroll - Add employee to existing saved pay run
Hi All, I have a few clients that I run their large payrolls and from time to time you get half way through and find that they have not given me the details of a new employee. In the past this was a pain if you did not check everyone on the list and confirm they were already set up. You would get half way through and when you then discovered that and employee was missing, you had to scrap the entire run, then when you had the new employee's details you would start all over again. When MYOB added the feature to save a pay run and come back to it I thought it would eliminate this problem. It seems it does not. Because you cannot add a new employee during a pay run, I saved the run, then after I added the new employee and went to resumed the run, I could not access the new employee so I still have to cancel and start all over again. MYOB, could we please have a change to this so that the software will assist us to have a smoother workflow rather than cause us to have to start all over again. Thanks, Alan "Returning to a saved pay run is not as good as it should be"6.8KViews17likes9CommentsCard: Employee - Emergency Contact tab
In the Employee Card File it would be very handy to have a tab for EMERGENCY CONTACT DETAILS. Name: Relationship: Address: Mobile: Telephone: Email: At the moment I enter this information into the Card Details Notes: But this piece of information everyone should collectfrom their staff members and it would be great to have itavailable andeasily accessible! Hi we have just had the 1st of 4 files migrated to the new version of Essentials. We have been eagerly awaiting all the new featuresthat would make life easier but we are disappointed to see some of the good points about the old version have gone. The notes section of the employee file has a reduced character limit so much so that the notes on one employee file that were imported from the old version have had to be cut & pasted to a word document as they were too large for the field & tech support are unable to tell me how charaters can go in the field The payslip (& whole payroll process) was much simpler in the old version. We would like to be able to edit the payslip template or if you could just make it look like the old version including logo that would be fantastic We would like to be able to add our logo to the remittance advice as well If we can edit the invoice template why cant we edit the payslip & remittance templates? It is great that we can now have TOIL & LSL accruals & recurring journals but I wish you could have kept the good features from the old version that have been removed. We would love the simplicity of the old version with the added features of the new "Payroll & templates in New Essentials"3.9KViews27likes6CommentsPayroll: Pay scale based on age
Working in the food industry we have many staff coming and going. Most are young and are paid according to the award. As their pay scale depends on their age it would be handy to have the following. Ability to manually load the pay scale for each staff member type (team member, store manager etc). This would have multiple lines for each pay rate band, i.e. under 16yrs, 16yrs, 17yrs, 18yrs, 19yrs, 20yrs, 21+yrs We already enter in each staff members date of birth so it would be great if MYOB could automatically determine how old each staff member is and select the appropriate pay band. Then during the course of the year as each staff member becomes older MYOB would automatically move each staff member to the new pay band. Of course there would also be a manual override in cases where a higher rate is paid to staff (e.g. higher skill level) "Payscale load and auto pay rate selector"3.2KViews1like2CommentsReport: Payroll verification report - Sort employees same as Create pay run window
When running a Pay Run it lists the employees alphabetically by their last name. When running the Preview Pay Details report it lists the employees alphabetically by their first name. Can we get this fixed to they list the same way? It's only happened since the Essentials Payroll upgrade. Why is there no section in the employee card to nominate, full time, part time or casual. Surely this is a basic requirement for tax purposes, why is it not on Essentials?? "Employee Status - Full time - Part time - Casual"2.7KViews6likes3CommentsImport and export data: Employee records
I think it would be a great time saving option to be able to import/export employee details between MYOB essential files. In the instances where additional branches are established, currently employee details need to be entered manually and this is very time consuming. Hi There Re: MYOB Essentials I recently was engaged to set up several employees and process all pays from 1.7.19 to current date for STP purposes on a new MYOB Essentials data file. I was appalled to note that there is no box for a second christian name and only a limited number of 25 characters in the name box therfore I was unable to note an employees second christian name, I was only able to enter his first name with an initial for his second name. I find this most disappointing as I was under the impression that the pay details should match the employees Tax File Number Decaration ? Have you had difficulty finding a replacement pay slip for a specific employee in MYOB Business? Now in addition to being able to search by pay run, you can find these on the employee record. Simply go to the employee and visit the new Pay Slips tab. Here, you will be able to email or download previous pay slips for that employee. We’ve also included a handy date filter so you can get to the right pay slip for the right employee even easier.Solved1.4KViews0likes15Comments
