Dark Mode and High Contrast Theme Requests
Hi MYOB Team and Community, I'm writing to suggest the implementation of both a dark mode theme and high contrast themes for MYOB. These accessibility features would significantly improve the user experience for many, especially those who find standard interfaces challenging. Dark Mode: Many users, myself included, find dark mode significantly more comfortable for working with software, especially for extended periods. It reduces eye strain and can be particularly helpful for those sensitive to light or working in low-light environments. High Contrast Themes: High contrast themes are crucial for users with low vision or other visual impairments. They improve readability by maximizing the contrast between foreground and background elements, making it easier to distinguish text and other important information. I understand that theme development takes time and resources, but I believe both dark mode and high contrast options would be valuable additions to MYOB and improve accessibility and usability. Currently, I'm not aware of any workarounds within MYOB itself. I'd be interested to hear if this is something the MYOB team has considered or if other users would also find these features beneficial. Thanks for your time and consideration.Bills screen display
The columns displayed on the Bills transaction screen (Purchases > Bills), aren't wide enough to be able to read the full supplier's name. Users would like the ability to either customise the width of the columns displayed or change the display so that the full supplier's name can be seen. Quote Customisation
I would like to customise my Quote template by adding or removing a blank line, such as the invoice template. Add or remove wording to suit our needs eg remove including GST which appears under Total amount of the printed quote. Also emailing a quote to show that the quote has been sent and opened by the recipient.MYOB Business display doesn't use the full screen width
Users would like to see the MYOB Business display scaled to the screen width of their monitor instead of having it always centred in the middle as there's a lot of wasted space on the sides. Hi MYOB​ , When will you work to make the reports in Business usable? So much of the screen real estate is wasted with all sorts of messages and details at the top of the screen that don't scroll which results in the size of the report window so small it can become close to useless as you need to constantly scroll up and down to see the results. On the many occasions that I have commented to MYOB staff about this, the stock reply is "yes, that will be fixed". When? I thought that was one of the reasons that the Business menu was supposed to be moved to a vertical list on the left of the window that could be minimised. It has not helped in any significant way. For reference, I have attached two screen shots of a balance sheet, one from MYOB and the other from Xero. Which would you prefer to work with?
Font Size
The working population is getting older, the population in general is becoming more myopic. Why ever did MYOB remove font sizing from their program years ago. It would help reduce typos. Most other types of software suites have this facility. Changing the windows screen resolution does not fix the problem. Ever heard of the science of Ergonomics? A resize font option would deliver an ergonomic productivity improvement to a large cohort of your customers. Good Ergonomics makes good economic sense.
