Inactivity sign out
Howdy, I've just received the email saying we will now be logged out of MYOB if we don't use it for 20-30 minutes, then we have to manually type in our email address and password - again. While I'm sure we all appreciate the pressures on data security, I think this is way too quick to log people out, much less having to type passwords over and over during the day. I run a small business with 5 fulltime staff, I get called away to help with things and help them get work done, take phone calls, attend online meetings, this means I'm probably going to have to log in 4-5 times per day, and I'm of the opinion typing in your password would leave you more vulnerable to attacks than having a software package open on your desktop. 2 hours and you're logged out maybe, 20-30 minutes is crazy. On the "Pay Bills" page, the columns are Purchase No., Status, Date, Amount, Discount, Owed and Applied. The same columns appear on the "Settle Returns & Debits" page. Of these columns I almost always ignore the Purcase No. and Discount, but I always need to know the supplier invoice number when I'm paying a bill or applying a credit. Please add the "Supplier Invoice No." column to both these pages. If something needs to be sacrificed to make it fit in, I think the "Discount" column is least necessary, followed (in my experience) by "Purchase No." When there are multiple open invoices on the same date and for the same amount, without having the "Supplier Invoice No." it's impossible to tell them apart unless you know the purchase number (which I don't use) and I have to click on the purchase, and then it opens another window (which also dosn't show the supplier invoice number) and then I need to open the purchase again from that window to finally check which supplier invoice this one is for. Hi MYOB Team and Community, I'm writing to suggest the implementation of both a dark mode theme and high contrast themes for MYOB. These accessibility features would significantly improve the user experience for many, especially those who find standard interfaces challenging. Dark Mode: Many users, myself included, find dark mode significantly more comfortable for working with software, especially for extended periods. It reduces eye strain and can be particularly helpful for those sensitive to light or working in low-light environments. High Contrast Themes: High contrast themes are crucial for users with low vision or other visual impairments. They improve readability by maximizing the contrast between foreground and background elements, making it easier to distinguish text and other important information. I understand that theme development takes time and resources, but I believe both dark mode and high contrast options would be valuable additions to MYOB and improve accessibility and usability. Currently, I'm not aware of any workarounds within MYOB itself. I'd be interested to hear if this is something the MYOB team has considered or if other users would also find these features beneficial. Customising forms on the desktop version is an exercise in patience. The first main problem I'm having: getting the vertical lines to be 90 degrees (not at a slight angle) - it would be so much better if the line "clicked" to say 5 or 10 degree increments or even have it locked as a vertical line (who actually wants a diagonal line on their invoice?) The second problem is lines disappearing when I save the form. I have just finished editing a form, I go to email it and the pdf has two of the vertical lines missing... I'd love to use the new forms on the web browser version but the web browser does not show our data properly and doesn't allow multiple currencies.237Views3likes12Comments
