Unable to open AccountRight file after upgrading to the latest version
Hi Everyone, We have had a number ofreportsfrom Userswho have upgradedtheir files to the latest version offline and when trying to open the upgraded file they get the following error message: AccountRight has encountered an error and needs to exit The following AccountRight Hotfix tool can be run over the company file. Instructions for running the tool are also included below. Run the AccountRight Hotfix tool: Close AccountRight Download the AccountRight tool Find the tool that you downloaded and double click it When the tool appears, all files found in your AccountRight library will be listed If your file isn't listed, click the Server Edition tab. Still not listed? Click Custom Location and then browse to the folder containing your company files. (Note: You can also drag and drop your company file into this window to update the file) Select the files you need to open and click Update selected files. When allfiles have finished, you can now close the tool. Start AccountRight and open the company that has been updated. When the Confirmation window appears, choose to confirm the companyfile online and click Next When complete, close the Confirmation window. You can now work on this file. I'm using MYOB Accountright and wanting to confirm what version I am currently using? I usually check on the Company Data Auditor, but is there another way? The reason I ask is the Company Data Auditor is showing I'm using version 2020.2.23.8701 after I have upgraded this morning, however I believe the upgrade was 2020.2.23.8856. Hi MYOB, SN XXXX 6778 ABN XXXX 8037 A client has asked me to upgrade some old V19 back ups for prior FY to ARL and then have them open as read only. This is so the client has all the historical data if they need to look back on any history. Anyway I upgraded the file (this is the screen shot below) looking back on this there is no company file name and the boxes are greyed out. I didn't notice this at the time and now the file upgraded online.. but I didn't tick that option? Just tested it on the next file and the same issue on this screen below? Hi, i have installing AR 2020.2, i have few files, nothing wrong with the 2 online files. However, when i tried to open offline files but there is error message "unable to upgrade your file" i notice when i tried to open with AR2020.1, it' automatically become AR2020.2.2 theni i tried to remove 2020.2, which i did, the icon AR2020.1 is still changed to ar2020.2 i tired to open the file, it stated the file is 2020.1 version do you want to upgrade, i click yes, but then the error message still come out. please advse. lease help urgently because i really need to do my work. realy appreciate your kind helpSolved930Views0likes4CommentsNZ Classic & Tax
Is any one else having issues with the NZ tax upgrade, The date has been moved out a number of times and at this rate we will be lucky to get any tax notices to clients as no IRD data for 3 weeks now and no contact from MYOB at all, Assume we will all get a months free subscriptions as unable to use product.913Views0likes2CommentsMaster Reports with MYOB AE 2024.1 (5.4.52.107) release patch
In the MYOB AE install guide—5.4.52/2024.1 SP1 (Australia) Release date—October 2024, it says: Important Note: "We may replace any MYOB Master Reports at any time. We recommend that if you’ve customised our masters to export a backup copy of the report layouts using the Report Export Utility which is available from Reports > Report > Export & Import before upgrading MYOB AE" So I went into Master Reports Export - there a literally hundreds of these Reports and MYOB does not provide any facility to bulk-export them. Do they honestly expect us to export them one-by-one? Because that is the ONLY way to do it! I did back up a few key reports with more recent dates (likely to be customized): Registered Office for Client & Contact.rpt 10/5/2023 Current Client Residential Address.rpt 31/1/2019 Current Client Postal Address.rpt 31/1/2019 Client Registered Office Addresses.rpt 10/5/2023 Clients with Aliases.rpt 4/5/2017 Director ID.rpt 19/2/2024 I figured I'd go ahead with the install of the patch and if there were any issues with these later on, we could spin up a previous backup and export the ones we need. But it bothers me that under Contacts --> Contact Details, Contact List, Contacts and Clients are all empty (see the attached screenshot). Everything else appears to be as it was. I just don't remember seeing any gaps when I looked through it. There is Client & Contact Addresses, Client Contact Details etc. under Clients. Has anyone else had issues or concerns around potentially missing data in these Master Reports?
