Our offline file (archival purposes/read only) is affected by this. Had some technical difficulties using them due to MYOBs updates breaking acces, requiring all offline files having tech support team get involved to reset. At the time of this, they advised we consider move files to online-read only for $2.50/month, which we reviewed and decided we would but have not done so yet.
Recent support calls after reading this news it appears we no longer have access to this online read-only solution. Stitching people into a corner.
Migrating one of or entities to Xero for integrations flexibilities, has been the best thing we ever did. 30+ years of MYOB and we can't even maintain our own file for historical record.
They must have a total of 0 new subscribers to this platform. I mean, who in their right mind would sign up? Hopefully they actually read this community and can realise they are the cause of their own demise.
Goodbye MYOB. Good riddance.

Hi Brodie86 ,
I cant speak to the conversations you had with support sorry, but there are some incorrect statements/information here.
There are still multiple options for customers needing access to their offline data for record/audit purposes. Including free options.
The read only subscription you mention is still available. But free options mean you could also:- Install server edition to view (& use) an offline file.
- Install a previous version of PC edition from our downloads page (would need to be done each time though).
- Or even install an AccountRight classic version such as V19 - this software will not have confirmations supported soon, but this will still allow a read only access which it sounds like is all you need.

Hi Geoffy
You can choose to override Microsoft's blocks (which are based on your security settings like Reputation based Protection etc). Any v19 product can be installed and will run on Windows 10 or Windows 11. How you do it depends on the browser you use, eg right click and select Keep, click 3 horizontal dots and select Keep etc.
Regards
Gavin
