I have just purchased two offline files for non-trading companies where I virtually only need a general ledger — no bank feeds or other add-ons required. The attraction of MYOB was always that you could snapshot your system; now this is being removed.
I don't think MYOB is competitive as a purely online platform against QBO or Xero, but offline access was a significant advantage. Why shoot yourself in the foot?
Agree! The only thing keeping me with MYOB, with all its gremlins and issues between desktop and browser, was the offline file capability. Guess I will be buying xero shares shortly for the number of people who will be hot-footing over there.
