I'm sorry, but that is a rubbish answer, just trying to justify MYOB making its clients have to do more work.
You want me to pay my invoice, send me the invoice, don't tell me I have to go out of my way to log into an account I rarely access, to download an invoice that you want paid on time.
If I want our clientele to pay their invoice, I send them the invoice.
No other business that I deal with tells me that I need to log in to access an invoice just to "protect my sensitive data"
Other than the business name and contact details (which would be availble through so many other avenues) what sensitive data are you protecting.
