The customer's email security is none of MYOB's responsibility. You already use email authentication if someone forgets their password, so how is it any more or less secure?
Did ANY customers actually ask for this change?
Better still, how about an OPT-In option instead? It's a simple! Leave it the status quo or OPT-IN to receiving an email notification instead.
Here's a simple programming code for you:
