i built4purpose , no this change takes effect on the 27th November.
Some possible causes are:
If you are opening multiple instances of AccountRight this would mean you get asked to login on each instance
If you are closing AccountRight using the 'x' on the software, you will need to login again when re-opening
odd I will check, but I haven't had that issue before... but maybe in my distaste for what MYOB is forcing on us at this moment I'm exiting differently.

Thanks built4purpose , appreciate you saying so. I definitely want to work through this with everyone. There are always nuggets that come out of passionate discussions which we can take away and make improvements. This already happened when we did the 24 hour 2FA and adapted so that it was prompted at the first login of the day instead of 24 hours after the previous prompt.

Hi MikeG1,
Why would I be getting 2 requests for 2FA for logins on the same machine 3 hours apart as I have just now? This is a disaster, and one that MYOB has not taken seriously in terms of disruption to your client base.
Again - not you personally - but MYOB is going to lose many customers from this. Particularly as the ATO has denied mandating what you have been using as an excuse.
Response to one of the questions posed to the ATO:
If this is a requirement now of software like MYOB, then you'll be best to reach out and discuss it further with them.
The response to the other query that was put to them.
You'd be best to reach out to the software provider and issue your complaint with them. It's their software requirements that are causing the issues.
ATO denies this requirement. Please escalate this within MYOB - I do not believe you really understand how disgruntled many of us are - very serious about leaving - on principle.

Hi BenModern - we have shared the links directly to the ATO website where these mandatory requirements are listed (Here again for reference)
It disappointing the the ATO has not replied appropriately, but I can assure you that as per the ATO website and linked requirements, this is a mandated change we are adhering to.
MYOB also worked alongside a contact at the ATO to ensure that the changes we made were meeting the requirements
