Blog Post
An update for those that may have read my post about emailing the ATO. I have just received an Undeliverable email bounce back after about 24h. It says that the host actively refused to accept my email so it seems that the ATO doesn't want feedback or questions about their forced changes. I wonder if this would be something the Privacy Commissioner would investigate?
Their response to the post on the forum indicated they made no mandated solution and that any issues with MYOB functionality change are to be followed up with MYOB - so they've dropped them well into it :)

Which forum was that?

The ATO forum - thread and reply linked below for transparency
https://community.ato.gov.au/s/question/a0JRF000002YnjV2AS/p00346666However this is a disappointing reply from the ATO, we have clearly been able to provide documentation on the ATOs own website/guidelines (below) that show and confirm this is an ATO mandatory requirement.

Not sure where the ATO has statutory authority for the IT login security practices of small business? Where is that authority documented?

Responding to two separate enquiries on the ATO Community forum. In both they deny making any specific requirement. MYOB have been hung out to dry on this one

Found the reply on that one that I started. Have just responded to them. Also going to lodge a complaint with the ATO and see where that goes.
