Hi BenModern , the response from the ATO stating that these changes were an MYOB decision was incorrect. We are meeting with them soon to discuss this with them as it (understandably) is having a significant impact on how this change is being managed. Particularly in these forum discussions.
MYOB worked with ATO to implement these changes, and the links we have provided to the DSP guidelines from the ATO show that the change is being mandated by them.
The ATO is a large company and it is also understandable that their team members replying to their posts don't have the same information as those responsible for these guidelines and from what I can tell, it is a simple mistake that the incorrect information was provided in their responses.
The ATO are a large "company", MYOB is a large company which is supposed to represent it's paying customers - who are small companies.
