Many thanks for all the feedback we have received since unveiling the new-look Community Forum. Please keep the comments coming. We are pleased that the changes have had such a warm reception.
As I’ve previously mentioned, many of the changes were made to make navigation and posting easier, particularly for forum newcomers who had difficulty in the past getting started. Today I thought I’d provide some tips to more experienced users about customising your forum so you can access the information you want quickly and easily.
You can use forum bookmarks to get quick access to your favourite boards, including “hidden” boards you are entitled to view. Just open a board you want to bookmark, then choose Bookmark from the Board options drop-down list. These bookmarks will then appear at the top of your Go To list.
You can also display all of your bookmarks on one page, as well as having access to all your subscriptions that is just one click away. This page shows the latest topic and latest post, and is great for those that miss the old My Subscriptions box on the home page. You can find the page under My Settings, then choosing the tab Subscriptions & Bookmarks. Or just use this direct link.
And remember if you are only interested in posts from one category, you might like to save the category landing page as your home page. For example, you could set the LiveAccounts category page as your default home page if you are a LiveAccounts user. On this page you will see a list of the most recent discussions across all of the LiveAccounts boards.
A few users have asked me if they can use the funky logos moderators now have to promote Kudos and Accepted Solutions. You are most welcome. Just send me a private message if you’d like the code to include in your signature.
You might also notice that we have rolled out a few tweaks to the forum since unveiling the new look. Your country is now showing on your posts again, we now have links to both the Australian and New Zealand Partner search tools, and you can now click on attached images to enlarge them if they are hard to read.
We also unveiled our AccountRight and LiveAccounts idea exchanges yesterday. You can submit your own ideas direct to the MYOB product development team. You can also read ideas submitted by others, vote for your favourites and leave comments. We are committed to implementing ideas posted by the community in our regular product updates, so we encourage you to use this great new feature of the Community Forum.
This week we welcomed over 300 new members to the community, and over 1000 posts were made. Special thanks to this week’s top five contributors - Tazter, Clive, David_Cree, Murray_McKenzie and JenPerram.
I was also really pleased to see so many Accepted Solutions this week. Tazter had 11 of his posts marked as solutions, while FrankHua had 7, Clive and Murray_McKenzie both had 5, and David_Cree and JenPerram both had 3. Please remember to mark any answers that resolve an issue as an Accepted Solution in order to help others.
