Blog Post
Hey everyone,
Hayden, Head of Product for MYOB here.
I just wanted to say thanks to everyone for the feedback, I'd rather you be honest when it's hard to hear than you not give it.
This latest release was intended to provide useful new functionality while also showing a clear intent that AccountRight is sticking around and will be actively worked on. That said, it's clear that we got some things wrong in this release.
The focus for now is making sure we have any of the bugs reported addressed.
Some of these are old issues (like Windows DPI settings messing the UI up) but some of the bugs reported with the new tiles are issues we are working to put a patch fix out ASAP. We will update this thread with more info when we're further along that process.
After that's done, we will move to understanding your feedback on the UI changes more broadly.
On the topic of the UI, we've had many revisions based on pretty extensive user testing and the version you're seeing is one that we got to after a lot of customer feedback.
Visual design is always a divisive topic, and the view changes over time.
That said, we've heard you. We will take this back to the team once we're confident we've resolved the bugs and we will see where the common themes are and respond.
Thanks again for your feedback, and thanks in advance for bearing with us while we get this improved.
Hayden
Hi Hayden,
I understand the need for change and improvement but this update creates MASSIVE confidentiality issues, giving access to Reconcilliation reports showing payroll and other confidential information that isn't needed to be accessed despite us removing this from the Roles in User Access. Does MYOB intend to address this in a prompt manner. This is a big issue. Access to financial information being shown is not acceptable and needs to be fixed as a matter of urgency.
