Hi Margriet , good questions.
The developers will have multiple priorities at any given time. For example there will be:
- Compliance changes that need to be made to our software
- eg mandated security changes (a recent example would be the change to 24 hour 2FA)
- Payroll updates
- Tax updates
- New features or improving existing features
- Requested enhancements
- Fixing bugs or unintended errors
At any given time, a product manager or development team might have 10 pieces of work that they want to complete, but they might only have the capacity to complete 2 of these (as an example)
The community forum is just 1 of many sources that MYOB utilises to understand customer feedback but it is one of the best platforms when it comes to the ideas exchange and product feedback loop.
The votes in our ideas exchange come into play when those team are looking at the 10 changes they want to make and trying to decide which 2 are the most important to work on.
When an idea here has a lot of votes, it shows that it is important to a lot of customers, and helps improve its chances in getting prioritised
This command centre uplift is not a change that was specifically suggested through the Community Forum ideas exchange though
Hi Mike_MYOB ... if
This command centre uplift is not a change that was specifically suggested through the Community Forum ideas exchange though
Then, is there enough support here on this thread to undo the change and take a long hard look at whether this change is something that we 'need to get used to' ??

Hi Lara10 , also a great question!
There is definitely a significant number of customers and comments here in the forum providing their feedback about this change.
I can assure you that the feedback is being reviewed.
In fact our MYOB Head of Product and one of our Product marketing managers have both made some replies in this thread themselves. Amanda and I will also typically have meetings or ongoing discussions with product managers whenever there is a significant change or a significant number of discussions about something (just like this situation)
We make sure that the voice of our customers in the forum is heard at multiple levels of the business, but we cant guarantee that it will mean there is change as a result.
Right now I would say its still too early to tell whether this is a 'need to get used to it' situation or one where changes might be made.
Another point to consider, when it comes to AccountRight, most changes will only happen with the monthly update/version release that typically happens around mid-month. I cannot say for sure, but I would assume, that if any further changes were going to be made to the command centre, they would happen around mid-june at the earliest with the next version release.

Hi Mike_MYOB - thanks for the reply, and that it's reasonably comprehensive, I'm not seeing alot of replies to people's concerns - I would feel that from the businesses who are unhappy about the new tiles revealing more about their business to their staff than they feel is necessary that waiting a month is 29 days too long!!! I was disappointed that MYOB didn't pull the "upgrade" back immediately they realised confidentiality was being breached. My opinion only ... visually the new UI is a big downgrade from the previous menu/shortcut screen (& unsure we need shortcuts within the shortcut menu) ...
