Blog Post
Hi,
"The updated Command Centre is designed to make navigating through AccountRight smoother.
The new buttons are all about reducing friction. Instead of digging through menus or clicking through multiple screens, users can now jump straight to key tasks - like allocating bank transactions or reviewing overdue invoices - with a single click."
How about a keyboard shortcut instead? I use Ctrl+J, Ctrl+E, Alt+U, Alt+O and many others all the time.
A keyboard shortcut for 'create new customer card' or directly to the sales or purchases registers from anywhere in the program would create less friction than these buttons.
For when the bug issues have been addressed and you start looking at our feedback about the UI design:
This screenshot of the intro video you posted last week, shows quite clearly that the new design is much harsher on the eyes. At least for most of us here it seems.
The arrows were always there but most people seem to not have even noticed them. Now, they are the first things my eyes see. Then I see the borders of the old buttons. The smaller darker logos at the top are also very 'in your face'. Fortunately, I know where the buttons I need are and can find them using muscle memory. It's too black. Too bright. Too bold. Too harsh. I think maybe there's a lot more bright white around the outside as well.
It's a relief to go from the command centre to one of the other windows and I, for one, would prefer to see a rollback to the old design on the command centre rather than seeing more windows gradually transition to this new look.
I don't know much about accessibility for people with poor vision. Maybe these changes are to address issues with that? If so, perhaps a better option would be to have a toggle between 'standard' and 'accessibility' views/skins/whatever it's called now. Like the many programs and apps that have options for light or dark.
