Well Mike, looks like MYOB is about to lose a myriad of previously loyal customers. If you think for 1 second business' is going to hand over 1.8% of their hard earned to you, I'd suggest you take a BIG reality check. After in excess of 20 years using your software, we'll be looking to change.

Hi GKLBA , there are definitely some customers who are against the change and I'm supportive of everyone having the opportunity to provide feedback.
There a multiple options available with the payments feature to ensure this works for your business.
The feature can be disabled as a default or with each invoice that is generated.
If the payments feature is enabled, you can also choose whether the fee is paid by you as the business or you can surcharge it to the recipient of the invoice.
The fee also only applies if the invoice is paid using online payments. If the person who has received the invoice chooses to pay via bank transfer or cash, then of course there is no fee.
Contrary to the comments, this is not any kind of 'money grab' by MYOB.
We are enhancing the security of our invoicing platform and ensuring that only legitimate businesses are able to use MYOBs platform for invoice distribution which will help to reduce invoice fraud for businesses and consumers.- cyber4me9 months agoMember

The ATO and banks verify my company so there is no need for you to. Also your secure invoicing is flawed as we can send fraudulent invoices from a PDF if I was that way incline! So please explain how you have stopped fraud? And to say its not a "money grab" is fraud in its self.
I've used MYOB for over 30 years and will be looking for a new software package that doesn't enforce passing over very private information. There is no way you can guarantee not being hacked and passing all our classified information.

Good morning cyber4me , you're correct about the PDF risk, however when a PDF is downloaded and sent, this has to be done through a customers personal/business email and not through the MYOB platform.
Secure invoicing and verifying our customers ensures that only verified businesses can utilise the MYOB platform for sending invoices. We prevent invoice fraud in Australia by ensuring that invoices associated with MYOB can be trusted by consumers and we also then provide added protection for businesses through secure payments, fraud monitoring and account verification.
MYOB is neither receiving nor storing this information as well, so there are no concerns about hacking. We are using frankieone for this process.

Don't want this...Didn't ask for it.
You say that we can Verify and then just opt out of using it...
Ask far as we're concerned...We have already paid/pay per month, for the ability to send out a basic invoice directly through the Accounting Software Package we signed up for.
This is highly arrogant and as far as we can see MYOB is utterly tone deaf to the complaints...and just focused on the $$$'s
