I have yet another question :-)
How can I opt out of MYOB financial services completely? I don't want to disable the MYOB financial services, I do not want it full stop.
In no circumstances ever do I want the MYOB financial services added to my invoices. There should be a way that as an accounting software subscriber that I should also automatically have to accept the MYOB financial services. I do not want to agree to the MYOB financial services to simply email invoices as we currently do.
I am concerned that as MYOB can and will turn this feature on automatically, that in the future MYOB may turn it back on after we turn it off and then we will be expected to pay the MYOB financial fees. We do not want any chance of this situation occuring.

Hi Jamie2 , the instructions providing for turning online payments off is what is available to you.

We followed those instructions and believed the payments feature was disabled. My invoice looked correct.
MYOB included a SECOND PAGE with the payments feature!!! Only way I knew was I was paid by a credit card!!!! I had to RING them to get it turned off ....... not just follow your above instructions.
It is criminal what MYOB did to my custom made invoice and I had no idea, how is that justified Mike?

When updating online payment preferences, the changes will only apply to new invoices created after the settings have been changed. If you had any previous invoices created, you will need to manually change and update the online payment preferences for each invoice. Invoices won't include online payments as an available payment method unless the setting has been applied.

I have read that. You didn't answer my concerns as to what is to stop MYOB from turning them back on. We are also in limbo at the moment as we can't invoice because we are waiting for the Secure Invoice process to complete and we don't want to invoice and have the MYOB financial services added to our invoices because we can't turn it off by default!
This service should NOT be enabled by default. It should be an OPT-IN and not an Opt-Out.I can see this becoming a legal dispute if the situation arises. I am expressed my desire to not use the MYOB financial services here as I have no where else, I also refuse to have MYOB cripple my business if I do not accept your MYOB financial product terms and conditions, so we are going through this process under duress.

Hi Jamie2 , MYOB will not turn on the feature that you have chosen to disable.
IF this were to happen due to an error, we would absolutely work with you through the process and I expect that any fees incurred would be refunded.
Other members have also expressed the same feedback that this should be an opt in process but it has not been designed that way and there is no view currently to change this.
If you have submitted your verification documents but still lost your ability to email invoices, we can definitely provide you with an extension so you can continue invoicing while your verification is actioned.
I recommend that you create a case to our team by logging in to myaccount.myob.com > lodge a support request > then under the 'what can we help you with' section please select 'financial services'
