I wont be using secure payments ..So can you tell me what the difference is between me sending an invoice from MYOB and me printing scanning and manually sending an invoice by email, for it to be paid via EFT bank transfer. I don't get how blocking the email invoice from MYOB is going to effect cyber crime or fraud as it will be still coming from MY email address
it makes no sense explain that to me Magic Mike

Hi 32762, MYOB in their wisdom, assumes that all businesses are sole trader start up companies which cannot be trusted. My Company has been trading for over 35 years and has had the same owners/directors the entire time. It is quite insulting to be told by MYOB, a now US owned company, that we need to hand over our protected sensitive data because they want to protect OUR customers from fraud.

Hi 32762, to the recipient of the invoice (consumer), there is a difference.
Verified businesses can email, SMS or copy link the invoice to the consumer 'from' MYOB.
Unverified businesses can still distribute invoices to consumers themselves, but this has to be done through their own email service, likely some variation of 'admin@business.com'
Due to the prevalence of invoice fraud, consumers should be cautious with any invoice they receive, but consumers will be more likely to trust an invoice sent by MYOB, so we are taking steps to ensure that only verified businesses can utilise this service to ensure consumers have confidence in paying an invoice sent by MYOB. - Gmac20162 months agoExperienced Cover User
Its so dumb of MYOB, I use a PDF printer and email template, my clients are receiving the exact same email and invoice as they would have when I used to be able to have MYOB create the email and send via Outlook.
It takes extra time and inconvenience and there is a greater chance of errors because of some manual processes.
There is nothing more secure about MYOB not allowing me to do it the "old way".
All it has achieved is another annoyed MYOB customer who is actively looking at alternative software for a switch at the start of the new financial year.

Hi Gmac2016 - please see my previous reply to member '32762' on the difference between sending it yourself versus sending it via the MYOB platform

Hi Mike,
Thank you for the prompt reply.
In the past I could use the "send to" function to send an email copy of an invoice
MYOB would then create an email in Outlook complete with the email address for the customer and invoice as PDF attachment.
The invoice was then sent external to MYOB via my Outlook email.
Unless I have missed something or have an error I can no longer do this.
