This new login is worse than the previous version. The version 10 years ago remembered your email on the desktop version so you only had to enter your password and you were in, even with 2FA it would have been user friendly.
All the communication has been around feedback from users, but this new way takes even longer to login. I have no interest in using the online version and having the unnecessary window left open is more wasted efficiency.
It feels like MYOB has a scale of inefficiency and frustration for updates. If the update scores highly on those attributes, it gets implemented.

With the SSO changes, you will no longer need to sign in with your email address via the desktop, you will be directed to the browser where your email address is automatically filled in. We have made these changes to ensure that signing in is a smoother process with pre-filled email, password manager support, and passkeys.

but it doesn't work and keeps crashing and needing to be uninstalled and reinstalled every 10 minutes, it is insane how much time I am wasting on this unbillable nonsense. MYOB is ruining my profitability 😡😡

I try to open the stand-alone software, takes me to the web browser login, which shows me this. no "OPEN" button to click and the "Try again" does nothing.
Only way to get the software to open is to uninstall and reinstall, but after a short amount of time working in the file it suddenly closes and the only way to get back in, is the uninstall and reinstall process again.

Hi AmandaMYOB unfortunately I am not being redirected and when I login online I still cannot login to my Desktop. Additionally my Budget is missing so I am currently running my P&L for Board meetings and have no Budget. How do I fix this? I also need to do a manual back up and from what I garner online this is not possible online.

Hi AmandaMYOB we also have a client that can't log into the desktop version - only gives her access to browser version. Its not flicking back to the desktop. She needs this as she is now getting messages in the browser version about things she can't do because of compatibility. Any help would be appreciated.,
