Unfortunately, this has made finding and working with transactions no easier. MYOB has missed out on developing a truly helpful find transaction screen. Two fundamental features are missing here and applies when looking at all transactions for a specific account, 1. A split between debits and credits (two columns) to make viewing the transactions easier and 2. Displaying the account opening balance, movement in debits and credits and the closing balance for the date range selected. ARL has it right here, the find transaction screen is brilliant. This cannot be hard to implement as the developers that originally developed the reporting system in Business wired this into the enquiry screen when drilling into accounts from various reports. We surely do not have to run a report to get this functionality. It is absolutely maddening that I still need to go back to ARL, if it is available for the ledger in question to do my transaction problem solving.
