Mike_MYOB , thanks to MYOB for the detailed email advices received yesterday. The text about in-product messaging did not include the word Browser, I'm hopeful this means that it will be sent to desktop users as well!

I have been actively communicating with the MYOB Feedback team for over a week regarding the communication concerns raised here and, whilst the email issued at 5:03pm yesterday was later than ideal, it was at least a positive step in the right direction, Mike_James .
I will admit I have been disappointed by some of the earlier responses received from the MYOB team on this forum, as I do not believe the operational impact on bookkeeping and payroll practices was initially fully appreciated.
Many of us work well outside standard business hours, including evenings and weekends, particularly during BAS and EOFY periods. Weekend access is not simply “optional catch-up time” for many practices — it forms part of normal operational capacity, staffing arrangements and compliance workflows.
The reality is that businesses continue operating outside 9am–5pm Monday to Friday, and customers are paying for access to software platforms on that basis.
