Hi dbo58806​ , although our customers should not be using shared logins, if email (or app) has already been set up, then these will absolutely still work. 
Once SMS has been set up, in most cases this will mean that customers now have two methods of authentication: SMS + Email/App.
When logging in and being prompted for 2FA, you will have both options available to use.
