2024 Company Tax Return - Trust Distributions

Hi,

I am preparing a company tax return that has received trust distributions. In the trust distributions schedule, the trust type has been selected but it doesn't show on the main page. When I try to validate the tax return, it gives me an error saying that there must be an indicator where trust distributions have been received.

I don't think trust distributions can be entered manually, without a schedule.

Any help will be appreciated.

    When will this be fixed?
I can't even get a validation error number in AO it just won't let me complete the return for validaiton due to the code not coming through from the trust schedule. I spoke to support and they said $1 will need to be reported at NPP or PP income to push the code through, however I'm not comfortable with lodging an incorrect figure (albeit small) as a workaround.

When is this likely to be resolved? We have returns that require urgent lodgment and this problem is holding them up.

    Thank you

  • Hi, Is there likely to be a fix coming for this issue. I've got a negative NPP amount from a trust distribution which is casuing this validation error. The only way I can get this error to be resolved is to put in an incorrect amounts (should be -50 in NPP but have to put a positive 1 in the box for NPP & PP and then put in incorrect amounts in expense box to counter the incorrect amounts put in income sections) MYOB please fix this validation error ASAP!

  • Hi vakeel,

I believe you are receiving the validation error CMN.ATO.CTR.428048. This is one of the issues we are currently investigating. Please call support or log a case with support on my.myob.com. We will link your case to the investigative case and email you the updates regarding this.
