MYOB AE Error message INCDTLS.000412

Hi,

I am trying to validate & complete the individual tax return but I received this error message (INCDTLS.000412 A positive ETP taxable component amount must be provided).

This client has tax free component ETP only. Hence, For the tax withheld and taxable component, I entered nil as these are mandatory fields. As a result, the error occurs.

I tried entering "1" into the taxable component field to see if the error will be gone and it does.

How can this error be solved?

Thanks

  • Hi elias88,

The ATO definition of this error is as follows

"A positive ETP taxable component amount must be provided. When the Employment Termination Payment (ETP) only includes an ETP tax free component, it must not to be included in the lodgment."

If you only have tax free component in your ETP payment you need not enter it in your return.

The details on the validation message in the software are incorrect, we have escalated it to be corrected in a future release.

For more information about this, please check with ATO.
