Issues with configuring Edge Server on MYOB

Hello everyone,

I am currently having issues configuring the Edge Server on MYOB, and I was wondering if anyone here could help me out. To provide some context, I am trying to configure the Edge Server on MYOB in order to improve the performance and reliability of my company's accounting system. I have been following the instructions provided by MYOB, but I am encountering some errors during the setup process. Specifically, I am having trouble with configuring the firewall rules and the SSL certificate.

I have tried to troubleshoot the issue on my own, but I have not been able to make any progress. I have checked that the required ports are open in the firewall, and that the SSL certificate is installed correctly. However, I keep receiving error messages when I try to connect to the (www.lenovo.com/de/de/c/servers-storage/servers/edge/) Edge Server. I have also searched the MYOB Community for similar issues, but I have not found any relevant posts. Therefore, I thought I would reach out to the community to see if anyone else has experienced similar issues while configuring the Edge Server on MYOB.

If anyone has any advice or tips that could help me resolve this issue, it would be greatly appreciated. I am eager to get this system up and running as soon as possible, as it will greatly benefit my company's accounting processes.

Thank you in advance for your help!

    Hi eliveoseph

Welcome to the MYOB Community Forum, I hope you find it a wealth of knowledge.

Thank you for your post. Reconfiguring of the MYOB Business API (API) may be needed depending on the environment that you have AccountRight installed in and how you are linking to the 3rd Party application. The most common need to edge configuration is to change the hostname or port that the API service is available from. See below for the full list of configuration options.

To edit the API Configuration, you will need complete 3 tasks:

    1. Stop the AccountRight API Service.
    2. Locate and edit the API Config file
    3. Start the AccountRight API Service.

Please Note: This is only related to the AccountRight Server Edition. This is a technical change and we’d recommend you work with your IT professional.
