Account Edge and MacOS10.15.7

I have upgraded from El Capitan 10.11 to Catalina 10.15.7 on my old trusty MacBook Pro that I have used for many years and holds all my Account Edge V18.2 files. (I only upgraded to Catalina in order to use other software without considering what effect it might have on my accounting files!)

Account Edge no longer runs and tells me that the program needs to be updated. I have installed V18.7 but still no luck.

Is there a later AE upgrade that will allow me to use my files.

I would be most grateful if anybody could furnish me with a solution.

    Hi Seajay49​ , AccountEdge requires a 32-bit operating system, but from El Capitan the OS's are exclusively 64bit. AccountEdge in Aus/NZ is no longer supported.

    Solutions include using software like VMWare to host a 32bit OS (complex to set up but easy to use), or work with MYOB to convert your current file to one of the browser-based programs.

    Thank you Mike for this information. I suppose another option is to revert to El Capitan.

    I will have to carefully consider my options.
