Hi, is there any way to generate a report of the total sales of any particular list of items for a specified date,
and compare that to the Quantity on hand,
essentially what I'm trying to do is generate a list of items that we sell more than X amount of in a period and check if that is below the QOH essentially generating a suggested stock order list,
if there is a better wat to do that I'm also open to suggestions ,

Your idea to create a sales report that compares sales against the quantity on hand is awesome for keeping track of inventory and making sure you have enough stock. However, there's no direct report that will provide each detail you're looking for.
But, you can try manually combining the sales data from the item detail report with inventory management reports like the analyse inventory detail and item sales history report. You might consider exporting the data to a spreadsheet and using formulas to compare sales figures and inventory levels.
