API Quota Limits

I have a few questions about the usage limits (5000 in a 24hr period) with the AccountRight API

Is this a strict limit and after I reach I cannot perform any more requests for 24hrs?
I assume this limit is only on api.myob.com?
Is the limit configurable, we have a client that will utilise this API and a 5000 limit may be an issue
