Solved

creating new sale using recurring transaction

i want to

A; save a sale as recurring transaction

B; open a new sale to same or new client and "use recurring", select the sale from point A to bring in the data from original sale

NOW HERE IS MY ISSUE>>> when I do this, no matter what Layout I save the original sale in, or whatever layout i begin the new sale as, it always changes to "item layout"

This is a problem because we always work in Time Billing...

Hi gregpowell , this is a known issue since version 2019.1. What version are you using? The workaround at the moment is to ensure that the first line of the recurring transaction is an activity.

Try looking at the clients card file under the Selling details tab and see what is selected for Sale Layout:

Thanks HOEKONE, have tried this - ensuring that the clients both have the same layout doesn't help. It happens even when saving as recurring and opening a new sale using 'recurring' for the same client.
