Recurring sales transaction problems

We use recurring transactions alot - our service arm schedules mainly for monthly and sometimes 2 monthly services (6 weekly aren't catered for in MYOB Account Right and need to be manually administered).  Not infrequently our scheduled service for a customer is either pushed out for 2-3 months or dropped altogether.  We wondered of this is related to post invoice corrections or changes to the next recurring transaction - change of product or discount offered etc but are are not sure.

Can anyone help to explain why a regular monthly service will be pushed out or dropped.

Thanks in advance.

    Hi Trushka

Thank you for your post. When you create a recurring transaction, you set a schedule, so if you were choosing 2 months, it would always fall on odd or even months depending on when it started.

If you change the date when creating the invoice, the system is still working on the schedule that you set. The software does not know you would like to change the schedule unless you go into the recurring transaction list and update it there, which may be why it seems to have pushed the date; because it is working on the original date.

The way around this is to update the schedule after creating the invoice if it falls in 3 months. For instructions on editing a recurring transaction, see our Help Article: Changing a recurring transaction.
