Retentions in AR

Question

My company is in construction and i would like a better way of recording retentions.&nbsp; Currently we are leaving the invoice with an unpaid balance and open.&nbsp; This means the invoice can stay open for 18 months in some cases.&nbsp; Any updates on how to record this better?
