want to uss most recently price paid for non-inventory items on purchase orders

Is there a way to get purchase orders to use the last price paid when ordering non-inventory items?

We purchase a lot of consumables to it is unrealistic to try and maintane inventory records for these items.

Alternatively is there a way to automatically update purchase price in the item set-up

    Hi JC12

Thanks for posting and welcome to the Community Forum.

I understand how important the prices are when we create purchase orders. Generally, if the item is not being inventoried the buying price and selling price are fixed. I would suggest opening the Inventory > Items List > Blue arrow next to item name > Buying details window, this gives all information about the default buying settings of a certain item. However, if you've used inventory for this item the default prices would run on stock price average.

Also, I suggest you read through this article Creating items. This article will give you a lot of insights regarding how items work in the application.
