GST Report not matching GST return Summary

Thanks for checking the GST reports. Good to hear the GST on sales and purchases is looking right. In AccountRight you actually can’t edit labels 1A and 1B on the GST Return Summary itself, that summary is a snapshot of the figures at the time it was created. If it’s showing zero while the GST report is correct, it usually means the summary was saved before all the GST transactions were in place. To fix it:

 

1. Go to Reports > BAS Reporting > GST Return Summary.
2. Open the saved GST return for that period and scroll to the bottom to delete it.
3. Re-run the GST report/GST return for the same dates and save a new GST Return Summary.

The new summary should then pull through the correct 1A (GST on sales) and 1B (GST on purchases). If it’s still not lining up after that, best to reach out to our live chat support through our virtual assistant, MOCA, or submit a case via My Account so we can take a closer look in the file for you.
