Unable to Export Reports to Excel

Hi

Since the last MYOB update I have been unable to export my MYOB reports to excel.

Microsoft doesn't have any updates available.

Being able to export to Excel is a crucial part of our business.

Has any one experienced this recently? Is there a work around?

We can export to pdf but not excel.

Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

  • Hi ANCCranes,

Thanks for your response and the diagnostic log.

I checked on this and I found some errors on how Excel is communicating with AccountRight.

I would suggest downloading Quick Repair Office from the Microsoft website and running it to fix the issue with Excel. If this does not solve the issue, we will need an IT person to re-register the DLL files for Excel and/or check the registry values of the computer for Excel. Here is a link that might help the IT personnel in fixing the issue https://webmakers.co.nz/interface-not-registered-exception-from-hresult-0x80040155-microsoft-office-outlook-error/.

Let us know if you still need any other assistance. We're happy to help.

    Cheers,

  • I have found a resolution to this issue of not being able to export to excel from MYOB accounts right on the desktop.  The application will only run on 32bit Microsoft Office and not 64 bit.  Simply uninstall office 64bit and install 32 bit.  This is a glitch and software development issue that MYOB needs to address asap.

All the solutions in this thread did not assist me.

    • Thanks JK6. Unfortunately this didn't work for me. But at least now I have an error coming up whereas before there was just nothing. No it just says Error C:/users/public/documents/MYOB/accountright/current/reports/spreadsheet/PAYACTSX.XLT When I follow that path there is nothing there. Is there perhaps a missing file I need to download from somewhere? Any help would be greatly appreciated as I've tried all other suggestions.

  • I am having the same issue .- I get an error message  with 80080005- i can successfully export PDF

      Hi Sandyw1,

Thank you for your post and welcome to the Community Forum.

I understand that you have the error message 80080005 but you can successfully export PDF. Generally, this error message means Server Execution failed, and this is caused when you lack permission to access or change certain files in the system volume information directory. Can you please confirm, did you received this error message when sending emails? If yes, "Send via Outlook 2013 and above" option is selected when using an earlier version of Outlook. To fix the issue, use the "Send via email software" option in the Email settings.

If the issue persists, kindly check your inbox to ask for some information and screenshot of the error message so we can investigate further.

If you need further assistance with this, please feel free to post again.

    Hi ANCCranes,

Thanks for posting and welcome to the Community Forum.

I'm sorry to hear about your issues exporting to Excel. Judging from the board the post is on, I believe we are using MYOB Business. Generally, MYOB Business does not have issues with transferring data from Excel because it produces a file instead of opening Excel immediately with the values. May I know if there are any error messages while opening the exported xlsx file?

If my understanding is incorrect, feel free to clarify your issue. Also, any screenshots regarding this would be much appreciated.

    Cheers,

      Hi,

We are using MYOB Account Right.

There is no error or code. It just simply spins (thinks) and then does nothing.

        Hi ANCCranes

        Thanks for clarifying the concern.

I would suggest clearing the cache of AccountRight first. Here are the steps.

        1. Click the windows button + R.
        2. Type in %localappdata%/myob and click okay.
        3. From the folders open AccountRight > Current > Cache.
        4. Deleted all files in this folder.

If the issue persists after clearing the cache, please send me your diagnostic log. Also, I would appreciate it if you could tell me what version of Excel you are using.

We look forward to your response.
