Randomly Changing Company IDs

We are using an API from our database system to post information to MYOB AccountRight 2019.4. Randomly, (without applying any updates), the company ID on the server will change, requiring us to reassign the company ID in our systems. I am aware that updating MYOB can result in a change in the company ID, but this is happening multiple times per month on only some of our systems, and not the same systems every time.

 

Does MYOB perform an automated online check at various times that would cause this behaviour?

    Seems a couple of users now having this issue. 

     

    As I have found the ID is updated on upgrades and restoring processes. 

    Hopefully one of the developers can answer for us!

    I will double check this again on a few sites.

      PowerMyobBI Samuel_Toombs Recent advice I received from the developers was that file IDs will only change:

      • If a backup is taken, used locally  then restored to the cloud
      • If a mix of PC & Server versions of AccountRIght are used by mistake
      • Checking in a checked out file (this will not be applicable from 2020.2 as this process is no longer available)
