Reporter not adding up report correctly

Hi there 

 

We are using MYOB AE and it appears that the figures on the reports in Client Accounting dont add up correctly. 

 

We have a head account that contains both DR and CR figures, and it happens that one year the overall result would appear in Assets and another year in Liabilities. 

However, The total Assets and Total Liabilities fail to pick up that figure of the head account (regardless of where it appears in the Balance Sheet). This is not very helpful because it means that we keep having to check our Total Assets and Total Liabilities when we should have been able to rely on the system to do that job.

    Hello McBain,

     

    Thank you for your message. To resolve your query, below are the steps to replicate:

    1.) Under the Reports tab in the Client Accounting tab, click Account Groups under Tasks.

    2.) Under Account Group Details, please search for the required/affected accounts.
    3.) This will open the folders Unpaid Present Entitlements under the Current Assets and Current Liabilities folders

    4.) Please right click on the range for the unpaid present entitlements and select Edit Range Settings

    5.) Please change from "Separate Debits and Credits" to Include all balances.
